Little Duxmore Cottage, Isle of Wight
Little Duxmore Barn was converted in 1993, from an original 300-year-old barn. It is right in the heart of the Isle of Wight. It is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with easy access to a range of intriguing footpaths and lovely bridleways.
Little Duxmore has its own enclosed garden area, with plentiful parking and a covered farm barn for table tennis or even barbecues. It is set within an acre of your own grounds, which encompasses a footpath through to a small wood leading straight onto the island's footpath network.
Inside, there is an abundance of exposed timbers with a central double height living space, providing comfortable accommodation.
Ride, with its sandy beaches and seaside town, is only 3 miles away, as is the ferry access from Fishborne. The property is reached by a gated farm track, safely away from busy roads, offering peace and tranquillity.
The surrounding farmland grows organic wheat. You can have baked bread from the locally milled flour for breakfast. There are several horse riding stables nearby.
The ferry from Portsmouth to Fishborne runs on the half hour and is the most convenient means of access from the mainland. I would advise you to book at peak times.
